Work description: My life-size cardboard stag head sculpture, a symbolic "trophy" for humanity, combines stag and coral reef elements to reflect the impact of human actions on land and sea. The disposable medium underscores the fleeting nature of our "rewards" amid the lasting environmental destruction we've caused.

Work description: One of my favorite songs composed by Hans Zimmer—Mountains—has been instrumental in helping me overcome procrastination and enter a “flow state.” His music’s slow, steady build, seen in the spectrogram of one of his songs, keeps me focused, making work feel effortless. As the songs progress, it feels as though the keys on my laptop float towards me rather than me seeking them.

Work description: This still-life drawing investigates the interaction between light and shadow, organic and inorganic subjects through exploring mixed media. There is an emphasis on the large cast shadow to create a sense of movement and balance in the composition.

Work description: This is my 5-panel instructions on how to perform the art of gyotaku, the traditional Japanese method of printing fish. The last panel is a real print of the fish depicted in the first 4 steps.

Spider’s in Healing

Work description: This piece depicts a therapist's office for spiders to talk about their feelings due to the high amount of hate and aversion they receive. It is situated under a rocking chair which symbolizes comfort and a safe place for these creatures who play a beneficial role yet receive undue fear.

Work description: For this piece, I showcased different pests associated with various types of waste: the bed bug for shipping waste, the mosquito for medical waste, the cockroach for food waste, the scarab beetle for art waste, and the moth for industrial waste

Gaia Is Dead

Work description: I crafted this sculpture from litter collected during a beach cleanup event. I used this trash to symbolize the coffin humanity has built for Mother Earth due to overexploitation and improper waste disposal.

PAddleFish

Work description: I highlighted the endangered paddlefish using ink and dabs of markers to evoke the feeling of a black-and-white photograph, illustrating the species' impending descent into antiquity.
